What is NDA?
NDA stands for National Defence Academy. This is the India’s top most post to be served for the nation. It is situated in Khadakwasla, Pune, Maharashtra.
NDA is the world’s first Tri-service academy which means it is the only one academy in the world which provides the candidates to become the officers under ARMY, NAVY AND AIR-FORCE.
To become any of the defence officer, the candidate must pass the entrance exam of NDA.
The exam is conducted by the UPSC( UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION) twice in a year.
NDA makes the candidates ready for the junior officers ranks to serve under the Army, Navy and Air- Force.
Students must have a good knowledge in Maths to crack the NDA exam.
NDA trains the candidates to become mentally and physically strong to fight the war. And to handle the bad situation.
NDA trains the candidates to maintain the discipline, which is the root part of the defence to learn first.
What Qualification is needed to sit in an NDA examination?
With the minimum 60% of marks in 12th, with the background of maths, physics and chemistry can be applied for the examination.
Students must have the science stream with carrying maths, physics and chemistry can be allowed.
Because the examination conducted by the NDA have tough questions from maths.
Candidate must be the unmarried citizen of the India.
And a 12th appearing student can also sit in the examination of the NDA.
Age limit–
A candidate must have the minimum age of 16.5 years and up to the maximum age of 19 years can apply the NDA examination.
Physical Test–
For the Army and Air-Force the physical test comes under the same rules but the Navy have different physical test criteria.
Candidates for male and female have different height requirements. A specific variation have been marked for the candidates come from North-Eastern region, Gorkhas and other specific region.
Weight is also a factor based on height and age.
Chest measurement test measures with the minimum requirement after inhaling the breathe in and out.
Physical tests includes pull ups, push ups, running, sit ups and skipping.
Vision should be 6/6 for the male and female. Hearing should be normal.
Deviated Nasal Septum, Hydrocele and Phymosis are the disqualifying factors.
Exam Pattern–
NDA exam have two papers. One is Mathematics and another paper is General ability test.
Both paper concludes the total marks of 900. Each paper have 2.5 hrs of time.
Wrong answers lead to negative marks of one third marks. Language can be chosen in Hindi or English.
There have total 270 of the questions, out of which maths divides 120 marks and General ability test 150 marks.
Syllabus–
Maths and General ability questions completes the NDA syllabus complete.
For the Maths test questions come from algebra, trigonometry, analytical geometry of two and three dimensions, differential calculus, Integral calculus and differential equations, vector algebra, statistics and probability.
General ability test have two sections- A and B.
In A section, question comes from English subject. In total marks of 200, questions come from grammar and usage, vocabulary and comprehension.
In B section, questions have been asked from general knowledge and total marks would be 400.
Questions are from physics, chemistry, general science, history, geography and current affairs.

How to prepare the NDA exam–
NDA exam is a tough exam which is needed to be prepared with a perfect planning and strategy by the students.
Students those are willing to serve nation by joining NDA, they need to be serious from the beginning of the 12th because maths and science subjects are mandatory to apply for the exam.
Teachers says that mathematics only can be learned when students practice them everytime.

Training of NDA
Training of NDA under Army, Navy and Air-Force have different sides of skills. Some schools and colleges provides the training and opportunity to join NCC( National Cadet Corps). NCC is the base face of any forces that are available in our country. Like the Army, Navy and Air-Force, NCC have three wings. Students can join any of them.
NCC provides the training to the cadets to learn the life of forces that can lead them to join the forces in future. In the trainings cadets learn discipline, integrity and patriotism. Like forces, cadets can choose their favourite wings which they can go for. In NCC camps the cadets are trained the basic life of the armed forces to gain the knowledge and discipline which they maintain in the real life.
This is the best place from where cadets can actually learn the real life of the armed forces. And it increases their taste to join arm forces and serve the nation in the future.
